I started playing drums 23 years ago in a small town called Perry Hall. Now I play in Stiff Richard. Is that enough? Ok........ There's more..........Through my childhood, I played in concert bands, orchestras, jazz bands, and marching bands, only to discover that my true calling was rock and roll. The first time I saw Joan Jett, that's when I knew. I studied music all through elementary, middle, and high school. After a short (very, very short) stay at Berklee College of Music in Boston, I realized that the classroom was not for me. The stage was where I longed to be. Now, I play with Stiff Richard. Still not enough? Alright!!!!

At age 19, my musical world changed when I met a guy named Chuck Defontes. He introduced me to the live music scene, and I played my first gig with him at Christopher's. (now Padonia Station) He also introduced me to the studio scene. Over the years, he taught me everything I needed to know about the music scene, and gave me the live time and experience that made me into the musician I am today.

A few months later, while playing in a Rush cover band, a young man with a big voice, and even bigger hair, came to audition for the singer position. That young man was Mark Marshall. Through the next couple of years, we were in several bands together. Then one day, while taking a break from the scene, I happened to go out to see his band (can you guess the name??) at a venue nearby. He informed me that they were in search of a drummer. Mike called me the next day, (at 9:00 a.m. and woke me out of a dead sleep, only to start a tradition of being a pain in the butt) AND NOW I'M IN STIFF RICHARD!

It is a useless and futile attempt to list my equipment, as it is forever being replaced after being repeatedly thrashed. I use Yamaha Stage Custom drums, sixes 8", 10", 12", and 14". My cymbals are ever changing. As of this moment, I am using Sabian cymbals, but if you check back next week, it may be different. (although you won't know by reading my bio, as it took me two years to update the last one!!)
